Here is one of the worlds greatest quarter whores, although nothing will beat Gauntlet for that title. TMNT is such a blast of a game to play in the arcade. Beating all the console iterations of the series since you can play with 3 friends, TMNT was one of the great party games.
We start with April, and maybe Splinter, getting kidnapped. The evil Shredder is being... evil, and it's up the the Radical Reptiles (although their actually amphibians) to save the day. I'm sure theres a plot to destroy the world or some shit, but really, we all know it's about saving April and getting some tail.
TMNT in the arcade was a classic beat 'em up game, with lots of space to move your character, and decent selection of move combos to perform, although the jump kick proved to be the most accessible attack for players. The graphics were decent for the time, and there was no slowdown noticeable, which put it miles above it's console version, TMNT 2 for the NES.
Playing through it isn't easy, but with a healthy stack of quarters you can make it far. Shredder may prove too difficult, but persevere and you'll get farther than I remember getting (at least the last few times I've played).
So, go out and find some TMNT. It'll make your day.
