Attack of the Mousers (Season 1, Episode 3)

By comparison to the previous episode, this one was rather weak. Still, it was better than a few of the eps I've seen, so we won't bitch too much.

As you remember, the turtles met April, and she passed out. Well she comes to, meets the turtles and Splinter, and passes out again. As if she hasn't seen huge talkin rats before. I know for a fact they got everything in New York. This couldn't have been THAT weird.

Anyway, she wakes up, and after fighting off teh thought it was all a dream, she accepts the turtles as her friends. We then are treated to the story of how the four turtles and Splinter went from common animals to mutant ones... What really gets me though is that Splinter, even in small rat form, is still insanely smart.

But, as it is, they all decide it would be for the best to take out Baxter and his evil horde of Mousers. It does look like the Mousers are being used for deed more nefarious than the slaughter of cartoon characters that at one point were ravishing reporters but now or scientists.

And you know the drill. The turtles come, the fight, they conquer. The mousers aren't the great an enemy for the turtles. They lack a certain... fear about them. Specially when it seems no matter how many are after the turtles, the guys always win.

That was my biggest beef with the ep. It lack adrenaline. A good shot of worry over whether the guys were going to be okay woulda been nice. The ending just seemed a little weak.

Score: 7.2
