The way of Invisibility (Season 1, Episode 7) and Fallen Angel (Season 1, Episode 8)

Okay now, admitedly, it has been a couple of months since I watched the episodes, so forgetting some details is to be expected. But dang yo, I can't remember jack shiet about episode 7, The Way of Invisibility. What I can rememebr follows as such:

The turtles are praciticing how to balance on sticks and fight quietly. Splinter is a weird rat... Anyway, as they are practicing, Casey crashes in and trashes their practice and their pad. They don't exactly appreciate this and spend about 10 minutes of the episode trying to get Casey to leave.

So, Raph and Casey go topside, and promptly get their ass handed to them by Foot Soldiers that have technology and can go invisible. Basically, they cheated. Raph gets captured and somehow Casey makes it back to the other turtles to warn them. Donnie makes special goggles so they can see the foot (cause Donnie knows how to make everything from parts found around their lair), and they head off to save Raph and defeat the special foot soldiers.

It was a blah episode tha accomplished two things: 1) Baxter made the Tech Foot guys, so when they fail, he gets punished. He gates punished a lot in the series. 2) They made a foot soldier that easily turned into a figure. Toy sales are key.

Score: 3.2

Now, Fallen Angel was a better ep. In this, Casey runs across a little girl he swore to protect. Seems she's fallen in with the Purple Dragons, has ditched out on school, called Pac-Man a boring game, and started eating only Burger King. Realizing that this path only could lead to evil and obesity, Casey follows the girl to a Purple Dragon meeting.

When there, he gets caught in an initiation fighting contest. Angel was supposed to fight in the tourney, but Casey steps up, takes her place, and then gets beat down. Angel, the little girl, runs off to the place Casey yells at her to go... which happens to be the Turtles' address. Amusingly, at the corner of Eastman and Laird.

So yeah, we can see where this goes. She feels bad that Casey is getting beat to crap for her. She and the Turtles' save Casey, and together they beat down the Dragons. The day is saved, Burger King loses a customer, and the episode ends, much to everyone's delight.

Good things in this episode include that great Eastman and Laird reference and the fact that Casey was pretty cool.

Score: 7.5
