The Good Guys

Splinter
Possibly once a man, maybe just a rat all along, this mutant is teacher and guide of the turtles. Has a thing for making people do flips...

Leonardo
The "blue" turtle. Considered the leader of the turtles, fairly serious turtle, in comparison to Michaelangelo.

Raphael
The smartassed one of the group, Raphael seems to like to wander off in angry huffs... often times being attacked by large numbers of foot soldiers when he does.

Donatello
Considered to be the intelligent one (often times to the point of him being the most comp-savvy, the most technical, and the only one to have a laboratory), Donatello gets all the cool toys.

Michaelangelo
Although often times thought to be the dumbest of the set, Michaelangelo can hold his own with the other turtles... and still find time to party.

Venus
A later addition to the turtle team, Venus is not actually a mutated trutle near as I can find. She's just a giant turtle from the Far East with mystical powers... and then she was cut from all continuity. Sucks to be her.

Casey Jones
Ex-hockey player turned vigilante, Casey is one of those rare characters that actually isn't a mutant at all... Which is funny since it seems like most of the population is mutants at this point

April O'Neil
The only other main character, April, the ravishing reporter, was saved by the turtles one day, and just had nothing better to do, so she started hanging out with them...

The Bad Guys

Shredder
The one true nemesis of the Turtles. No matter what they do, or how many serieses (is that even a word) they have, he's always present. He's like a bad rash.

Krang
By day an evil, alien brain-thingy trying to get his giant spherical tank-of-doom out of the lava bed it's trapped in. By night... well he's still all those things. But he has a cool android body!

BeBop and Rocksteady
Two idiot thugs that Shredder had mutated so they could serve him as idiot henchmen. Cause everyone has to have idiot henchmen.

Tokka and Razar
Mutated from two of the most vicious animals Shedder could find, these two weren't much more effective than BeBop and Rocksteady... But at least they gave the video gaming world two more bosses to fight.

The Triceratons
Alien dinosaurs with a penchant for throwing heroes into gladiatorial fights to the death... At least that's what I got from the graphic novel I read. I do know they have the distiction of being the only bad guys not associated in anyway with Shredder.

The Foot
And no one can forget these guys. The inevitable fodder always cast forth by Shredder, these guys have seen too much not to get their own section.

Hun
A recent addition to the whole TMNT multiverse, Hun is for the new series as Bebop and Rocksteady were to the old one. Yeah, that means he's pretty dumb and big and does what Shredder tells him.

Baxter Stockman
The man that gave the world Mousers, this genius became a giant fly-monster in the old TV series, but I thought he was inhabited by an evil-alien-brain-thingy in the comics... I may be mistaken...
