John and Audra's Randomness - Castlevania Music

Why I Love castlevania Music:

You know what my favorite part of Castlevania is? Not the characters, not the cool settings and gothic air to it, not the gameplay and not the weapons...it's the MUSIC! So what's your favorite Castlevania tune? Well each game had their memorable melodies of gothic chaos and holy battles....here's a discussion of a few of them. Want MIDI's? The Dungeon's got em.

Vampire Killer and Castlevania: Well... the tune Vampire Killer of course. The stage 1 music from Vampire Killer and Castlevania became the often reproduced Vampire Killer tune. You know it just by hearing a few seconds of it if you are a die hard CV fan. CV 1 Stage 2 tune Stalker is one of my faves. Also found within Castlevania 1 Poison Mind, Heart Of Fire, Wicked Child, Walking On The Edge... backgrounds like these let on to the fact that this series was big on music.

Haunted Castle: The in-game music is impressive, and the arranged version of the song Don't Wait Until Night on the Dracula Battle Perfect Selection CD kicks some ass.

Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest: Bloody Tears, another highly recognizable CV tune is the day time music, Monster Dance was the night time tune. You may not be able to tell, but the song which played in the towns is actually Beginning, probably the second most known CV song.

Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse: Probably one of the best for Castlevania music, this one featured Beginning in stage 1 brilliant tracks like Mad Forest, Rising and Nightmare, and the excellent Vampire Killer remake Deja Vu.

Super Castlevania IV: Many diverse and excellent tracks. Stage 1 featured Theme Of Simon, which was to become well known, and excellent tunes that I wish I knew the name of. Check out the background to the library, the treasure room, and the stage where you fight the Orphic Vipers.

Castlevania Adventure: Stage 1's Battle of The Holy is a rocker.

Castlevania 2: Belmont's Revenge: All the castle tunes in this one rock. The Plant Castle featured Ripe Seeds, the Cloud Castle featured Praying Hands (Which I renamed Theme Of John in my midis!), the Crystal Castle featured New Messiah, and the Rock Castle had Psycho Warrior.

Dracula X: This one featured remakes of Vampire Killer, Bloody Tears and Beginning, and introduced cool new songs Bloodlines, Opus 13 and Cross A Fear.

Castlevania: Bloodlines: My fave Castlevania features a very cool stage 1 tune Reincarnated Soul and a great Theme Of Simon before the Dracula battle called Simon 1994 AD. Also, the sound test features great remakes of Vampire Killer, Beginning and Bloody Tears, but they do not appear in the game.

Castlevania Legends: Only one of note really is stage 1's Bloody Tears remix.

Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night: Too many good tunes to list. Notably Dracula's Castle, Pearl Dance, Tower Of Incantatory Mist, Drip Of Crystal, Requiem For The Gods, etc etc etc! Also, for remixes, Alienated Blood, the Richter vs Alucard battle is a remix of Bloodlines and Marble Cloister and Tower Of Incantatory Mist are both remixes of Beginning.
