Inverted Dungeon Updates: 2016

October 1, 2016

We finished the Hammer Carmilla series with Twins of Evil, so we've added that to the Flicks section. Unlike the second Carmilla flick, this one really isn't all that bad. Also not terrible: the semi-follow up, Captain Kronos - Vampire Hunter does not suck. That said, the next vampire movie to come after that, Vampire Circus sucks even harder. It's like a roller coaster, man.

Another movie that also sucks? The Revenge of Frankenstein. You see what I do for you? I watch these movies so you don't have to.

And we've added the review for Konami Wai Wai World just to ensure completeness there. Now to try and find time (and a desire) to play it's sequel...

Finally got around to re-watching the second Hammer Carmilla movie, Lust for a Vampire, so we've added that to the Flick section. As a heads up: the movie kind of sucks.

Meanwhile, as we're getting inspiration to write more cast bios, we took the liberty of continuing work on the Series section by adding a page for Lords of Shadow and Mirror of Fate. We then added in the weird little oddity, Konami Wai Wai World since it is connected to the Castlevania series, albeit loosely.

We're back with more articles. We start with an addition to the Flicks section, the long overdue review of Vampire Hunter D which we've somehow managed to watch more times than we're comfortable with (especially considering we really don't like that movie). We also reviewed its sequel, Bloodlust, which was vastly better than we remembered it.

Since we have some time on our hands before we have to get back to writing on other projects, we've taken the opportunity to add a couple of extra pages to the site. Today we start with a new Bio for John Morris. Just need to take care of Eric and we'll have the entire 16-bit era completed.

We also have yet another Flick review (one we honestly should have written and posted long ago) for the 1992 version of Dracula. The movie is awful, but oh so pretty.

There's also been a bit of maintenance on this page, pushing the 2015 updates off to their own page so this section doesn't get quite so long. No need for pages and pages of scrolling.

Another long overdue update, but that's what happens during the busy season for conventions. However, we do have an update for the Bios section -- good old Quincey Morris, father of the Genesis hero, John.

We also have an update to the Flicks section, the first of the Hammer Carmilla movies, The Vampire Lovers. Sadly that film will prove to be the high point for that series.

Well, lives got busy over here so, of course, some projects (ICVD) had to be set aside so we could work on others (Dodeca System). That doesn't mean we've forgotten about this place -- updates will still slowly happen over time, and then once our schedules are freer we'll come back with a bunch of new pages.

In the meantime, to tide you over, we have a new article up for Twilight... maybe it would have been better if we hadn't, but it's too late now.
